              tRNA gene: amino acid=Met, anticodon=CAT.
RNA component of E.coli RNase P (M1RNA) cleaves a synthetic tRNA:M-i:61D precursor at several sites within the mature tRNA sequence in vitro. Hyperprocessing of tRNA at a site between nucleotides 39 and 40 produces a tRNA fragment needed for copia retrotransposition.
