Expression of CYLDScer\UAS.cXa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF does not result in a mutant phenotype in the eye. Expression of CYLDScer\UAS.cXa under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in a slightly reduced scutellum compared to wild type.

Expression of CYLDScer\UAS.cXa under the control of Scer\GAL4tub.PU rescues both the shortened lifespan increased sensitivity to paraquat which is seen in CYLDmr4 mutant adults (animals homozygous for Df(2L)CYLDmr4 and carrying P{LX107} to rescue the function of CG13138 and nmd). Expression of CYLDScer\UAS.cXa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF suppresses the ability of CYLDmr4 to suppress the small-eye phenotype caused by expression of egrScer\UAS.cIa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF.
