Expression of ykidsRNA.N.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PH (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase RNAi efficiency) results in a small eye phenotype.

Expressing ykidsRNA.N.Scer\UAS in hpoBF33 mutant MARCM clones (using Scer\GAL4esg-NP5130) reduces the clone size. Co-expression of ykidsRNA.N.Scer\UAS with wtsKK101055 in adult intestine stem cells and enteroblasts using Scer\GAL4esg-NP5130 suppresses the increase in the number of precursor cells. Co-expression of ykidsRNA.N.Scer\UAS in flies driving wtsKK101055 under the control of Scer\GAL80ts.αTub84B-Scer\GAL4esg-NP5130 that have been shifted to 29[o]C for 14 days suppresses the dramatic increase seen in the number of intestine stem cells found upon expression of wtsKK101055 alone.
